GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) _ Luc Robitaille added another line to his Hall of Fame resume Wednesday night.

Robitaille reached the 20-goal mark for the 16th time and the Los Angeles Kings beat Phoenix 3-1, extending the Coyotes' winless streak to 10 games.

Alexander Frolov and Nathan Dempsey also scored and Cristobal Huet made 22 saves in his career-high 10th straight start for the Kings.

Los Angeles, 5-2-2 in its last nine games, passed idle Nashville and St. Louis and pulled even with Calgary for sixth place in the Western Conference playoff race.

``The greatest thing about us is we control our destiny,'' Robitaille said. ``We need to win our games and we'll be there in the playoffs.''

Robitaille, fifth in goals among active players with 651, scored his 540th with Los Angeles to move within 10 of Marcel Dionne's franchise record.

``It's not really important now,'' Robitaille said. ``It's not something where I'll sit and think of it. When I stop playing I'll look back and think about it but we need to move on as a team.''

Mike Comrie scored for the Coyotes, 0-6-2-2 in their last 10 and 2-14-3-3 since consecutive wins over San Jose and Detroit in late January.

Phoenix is 0-5-1-2 since interim coach Rick Bowness replaced Bobby Francis on Feb. 24.

``We have not been outplayed,'' Bowness said. ``You can't crack them over the head because we're losing. Give the effort and we'll go from there.''

The Kings broke a 1-1 tie at 4:06 of the second period when Frolov's centering pass from behind the net deflected off Paul Mara's skate in the crease and slid under goalie Brian Boucher. It was Frolov's team-high 22nd goal.

Dempsey added an insurance goal with 16:01 remaining, one-timing a pass off the right boards through Boucher's pads.

``It was a bounce through the slot that squirted through,'' Dempsey said. ``I happened to come off the slot and put as much on it as I could.''

Robitaille gave Los Angeles a 1-0 lead at 4:50 of the first period, scoring from a sharp angle at the left side of the net.

``He's playing good defense, and when you're in the right spot defensively the goals will come to you,'' Los Angeles coach Andy Murray said. ``When you have the ability to finish like he has you're going to get some goals.''

Comrie tied it at 15:06 of the period, corralling an errant back pass from Los Angeles defenseman Joe Corvo and easily beating an unprepared Huet for his eighth goal.
