Kings seek third straight win against Blackhawks
Chicago Blackhawks vs. Los Angeles Kings

BLACKHAWKS (9-6) at KINGS (10-7)

6:00PM PT, TV: NBC SPORTS NETWORK; RADIO: AM 1150

GAME FOUR: The Kings are looking to extend their series lead tonight following a 4-3 win Saturday night in Game 3. Their offense has driven their success the past two games, scoring a combined 10 goals on the Blackhawks in Games two and three. The Kings, with 56 goals scored during the playoffs, are averaging 3.29 goals per game, much better than their regular season average of 2.42.

'70s FEEL: The Kings’ second line of Tyler Toffoli, Jeff Carter, and Tanner Pearson has been on an absolute tear this series. So far, Carter has registered eight points (4G, 4A), Toffoli has three goals, and Pearson has four assists. As a line, they’ve totaled in with 15 points in the first three games of this series. Can ‘That 70’s Line’ come through again tonight?

CONTROLLING KANE: The Kings have kept Chicago’s star forward Patrick Kane off the score sheet so far this series, taking one of the league’s most prolific scorers out of the mix. Kane, however, has the ability to break out and become dangerous at any given moment. The Kings also kept Kane scoreless through the first three games of their Western Conference Finals series last year, but went on to score four goals in the final two games, eliminating the Kings from the postseason.

SPECIAL TEAMS: The Kings held the Blackhawks’ power play scoreless in four opportunities in Game 3 Saturday night. Chicago is now 1-for-21 in power play situations on the road in the playoffs this year, the worst mark in the NHL. Slava Voynov netted the Kings’ first goal Saturday on the power play, and Drew Doughty launched home the game-winner seconds after a Blackhawks penalty expired. Can the Kings remain strong on the penalty kill, and continue to pose a threat on the power play tonight?

DOUGHTY: “This game is very important. If we lose this game tonight, it puts them right back in the series, gives them a little bit of momentum. If we win, we’re going back to Chicago up 3-1 and that’s a place we want to be in.”
