6 Things To Watch For On Fox Sports West
Dallas Stars vs. Los Angeles Kings
STARS (3-3-0) at KINGS (5-3-0)
Welcome Home, Boys: The Kings are returning to home ice at STAPLES Center for the first time since October 9th, and are coming off of a four-game road-trip with a sexy 3-1-0 record. The Kings will be playing eight of their next nine contests at STAPLES Center.
We’re Still Rivals: The Kings and Stars are no longer in the same division, but these two teams are very familiar with one another from their Pacific Division days. The Kings used to own Dallas at home (especially during the Marty Turco era), but are 1-3-1 in their last four against the Stars at STAPLES Center. Time to tip the scales again.
Putting Points in the Bank: The Kings are 4-1-0 in their last five games.  They will look to carry their winning ways over to home ice, where they were nearly unbeatable last season. To get inside the team’s mindset heading into tonight’s return to STAPLES Center, Jon Rosen gives you an inside look at how the Kings are looking to approach home ice this season.
Train Horn: The Kings are due for some scoring, and queuing the goal-horn at STAPLES Center is just what this team and it’s fan-base needs. During their four-game road-trip that saw them go 3-1-0, the Kings scored just six goals in regulation, averaging 1.5 goals per game. Can the offense be reignited in the club’s return to downtown Los Angeles?
Going Green: The Dallas Stars are bringing a new look to STAPLES Center on Saturday night. Since their relocation to Dallas, Texas in 1993, the Stars have worn the same color scheme they introduced during that inaugural season. Now, they’re donning shades that take the memory back to the old Minnesota North Stars days, going with a lighter green and a simpler scheme.
Draft up a Plan: Tyler Seguin, who was selected second overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft at STAPLES Center, comes back to the building he was drafted in for just the second time in his career. This time, in a Dallas Stars uniform. Traded from Boston during the offseason for accusations of having a lack of discipline off of the ice, Seguin is doing quite well for Dallas on the ice; posting three goals and five assists for eight points in six games. Can the Kings keep Seguin off of the board?
Make sure to tune in to FOX SPORTS WEST at 7:00PM for KINGS LIVE, followed by puck-drop at 7:30PM with Bob and Jim on the call.
Welcome home.
