2012-2013 LA Kings Chariot Staff Tryouts

The Stanley Cup Champion LA Kings will hold public tryouts for the 2012-13 LA Kings Chariot Staff on Sunday, July 22nd from 6:-8:30 pm at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo. Tryouts are open to both men and women with an understanding of the sport of hockey and will consist of in on-ice drills (run by Kings Radio Color Commentator/ former forward Daryl Evans), as well as off-ice/group interviews hosted by a panel of judges.
 
Check-in on Sunday will take place from 5:-5:45 pm. Tryouts will begin at 6 pm with the round of group interviews testing hockey knowledge and public speaking skills. At 7:30 pm, those trying out must take the ice for the on-ice portion of the tryouts testing hockey skills and ability. Everyone must bring a warm-up suit, skates, gloves, stick, and a helmet with a cage or facemask. 
 
The LA Kings Chariot staff debuted over 15 years ago and is a co-ed interactive group that represents the Los Angeles Kings organization at games and events throughout the community including charitable functions, fan development events and promotional events. A main focus of the Chariot Staff is LA Kings Street Knights, a grass-roots street hockey program tailored towards teaching children the basic skills of hockey at community-based facilities and schools through the donation of equipment, training sessions, and manuals.
