The Red and White All-Star Wine Tasting Hosted by Jim Fox occurred on Sunday, Jan. 29 from noon to 4 p.m. at The Mixing Room at the JW Marriott L.A. Live (900 W. Olympic Blvd, across the street from STAPLES Center). Fox, who is in his 22nd season as the Kings’ television color commentator, taught the basics on wine and talked hockey during the NHL All-Star Game, which was played on television screens in The Mixing Room.
 
Activities included:
  • A general presentation on how to appreciate and enjoy wine
  • Helping to design your own All-Star themed wine label along with members of the LA Kings Alumni Association Presented By Toyota
  • A blind wine tasting exercise where guests were asked to identify three whites and three red wines.

Kings guests included: Daryl Evans, Ian Turnbull, Pete Demers, Bob Miller, Marty McSorley, Glenn Murray, Gary Edwards, Wandamae Lombardi (wife of Kings President/General Manger Dean Lombardi), as well as Rich Hammond.
