NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. 

The object of Show Your Ink at The Rink Contest (the “Contest”) is to submit an original photo of your tattoo.  Matt Greene of the LA Kings will select ten (10) finalists based on the criteria set forth in the Judging section below and the public will then vote online for their favorite tattoo from among the Finalists.

Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of California, and excluding where otherwise prohibited by law, rule or regulation, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry (each, a "Participant"). Limit one (1) entry per person.  Employees, officers and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household) of The Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club, L.P., a/k/a LA Kings (“Sponsor”), National Hockey League (“NHL”), Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc., L.A. Arena Company, LLC, Rocco’s Old School Tattoo Balm and each of their respective subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies (the “Releasees”) are not eligible to participate.

How to Enter

The online entry for submitting a photo of your tattoo shall begin on12:01 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) on January 28, 2012 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on February 10, 2012 (the “Entry Period”).   All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. 

To enter, Participants must log on to www.LAKINGS.com/roccosink and register by filling out the following fields on the entry page:

1)   Name

2)   E-mail address

3)   Date of Birth

4)   Telephone Number

5)   ZIP code

6)      Submit a JPEG photo of your tattoo (JPEG file size must be under one (1) megabyte).  You can only submit a photo of your own tattoo; you may not submit a photo of someone else’s tattoo. 

By submitting the requested information you will be automatically entered in the Contest. Entrants to the Contest will be given the option to receive commercial e-mails from Sponsor; however, eligibility to participate in the Contest is not dependent upon entrant’s consent to receive such e-mails.  All information submitted by entrants is subject to the Privacy Policy accessible at: http://www.LAKINGS.com. Entrants must complete all non-optional data requested on the online entry form.  Incomplete entries are void.

Publication and Assignment of Rights to Submissions

By entering the Contest, each Participant agrees that they are submitting a photo of their own tattoo.  Such photo is an original work and Participant owns all right, title and interest to the photo as of the date of submission.  Entries cannot defame or invade the publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or property rights or any other third party rights.  If the entry contains any material or elements that are not owned by the Participant and/or which are subject to the rights of third parties, the Participant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the entry, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the use and exhibition of the entry by Sponsor in the manner set forth in these Official Rules, including, without limitation, name and likeness permissions from any person who appears in or is identifiable in the entry.  If any identifiable person appearing in the entry is under the age of majority in his/her state of residence, the parent or legal guardian is required to provide permission.  Sponsor reserves the right to require proof of these permissions in a form acceptable to Sponsor from any Participant at any time.  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry it deems to be offensive, inappropriate, not in keeping with Sponsor’s image or that is otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules, in its sole discretion. 

By entering the Contest, Participants agree to assign all right, title, and interest, including copyright rights, in the photo to Sponsor and grant permission for Sponsor and their respective designees to publish or publicize all or part of their entry, including but not limited to Participant’s name, likeness and photo, in whole or in part, for advertising, promotional and trade or other purposes in conjunction with this and similar promotions in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, worldwide in perpetuity, without notice or permission and without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

Judging

Phase 1 – Selection of Finalists

Matt Greene of the LA Kings (“Judge”) will judge all eligible entries received. Eligible entries will be judged on the following basis:

1. Originality and creativity -75%
2. Quality of Design – 20%
3. Use of colors – 5%

On or about February 11, 2012, the Judge, in his sole discretion, will select the top ten (10) finalists (each a “Finalist” and collectively, the “Finalists”) based on the criteria above.  In the event of a tie, an additional, tie-breaking judging by the Judge will determine the Finalists from among such tied entries using the judging criteria outlined: among the tying entries, the entry with the highest originality/creativity score will be selected as a Finalist.  In order to be an eligible Finalist, participant must be able to attend the LA Kings home game on March 22, 2012 at STAPLES Center (“Game”).  Each Finalist will receive two tickets (for use by Finalist and one (1) guest) to attend the Game. Exact location of tickets to be determined by Sponsor. (Approximate retail value of the Game tickets:  $100.00 per ticket).  All Winners will be announced during the Game.  If Finalist cannot attend the Game, the participant with the next highest score based on the judging criteria will be selected as a Finalist and so forth.

Phase Two – Selection of Winner

Each Finalist’s photo submission will be displayed on the LA Kings website at www.LAKINGS.com/roccosink between 12:01 a.m. PT on February 14, 2012 and 11:59 p.m. on February 28, 2012, and the public will vote for their favorite tattoo.  The entry getting the highest number of votes from the public will be declared the Grand Prize winner (“Grand Prize Winner”), the entry getting the second highest number of votes will be declared the Second Place winner (“Second Place Winner”) and the entry getting the third highest number of votes will be declared the Third Place winner (“Third Place Winner”) (each a “Winner” and collectively the “Winners”).  All Winners shall be subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules.  Winners will be announced during the Game and Winners must be present in order to be eligible.  If Winner is not present, the Finalist receiving the second highest number of votes will be declared the Winner and so forth.  In the event of a tie among the Finalists, the fans in-arena at the Game will select the Winner from among the tied Finalists based on which Finalist gets the most applause from the in-arena fans.    

Prize
Three (3) prizes will be awarded in all – one (1) Grand Prize, one (1) Second Place Prize and one (1) Third Place Prize (each a “Prize” and collectively, the “Prizes”).

One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive US $1,000.00 and $2,000 worth of tattoo work to be included from Hermosa Ink.

One (1) Second Place Prize Winner will receive US $300.00.

One (1) Third Place Prize Winner will receive a hockey puck autographed by Matt Greene of the LA Kings (Estimated Retail Value of puck: $5.00)

Each Winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, international and local taxes.  All costs and expenses not specified herein, related to the Prize, including but not limited to any transportation, meals, taxes (including income taxes) and gratuities and other expenses incurred by accepting the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. 

Prize is non-transferable, with no cash redemptions or substitutions except at Sponsor's sole discretion.  Sponsor and NHL will not be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation of any NHL game. There will be no substitutions for the Prize except due to unavailability, in which case, a cash prize of equal value to the face value of the Prize will be awarded at the exclusive discretion of Sponsor.

Game Administration
Sponsor will be responsible for resolving any disputes and rules violations that arise in connection with the Contest. All decisions by Sponsor regarding the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects.  Sponsor reserves the right to not award the Prizes if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified entries.

General Conditions
The Contest is governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflicts at laws principles.  All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Contest is void where prohibited.

Participants in the Contest hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of California courts (state and federal) in Los Angeles County for any causes or controversies arising out of the Contest. Each participant waives any and all objectives to jurisdiction and venue in these courts.

Except where prohibited by law, each Winner grants to Sponsor and its advertising agencies the right to use and publish Winner's photo, proper name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information and state in any media to promote Sponsor and the Contest without additional compensation. 

By entering, participants release, and indemnity and hold harmless the Releasees  from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind, including death, arising from or in connection with the Contest participant’s submission or receipt or use and/or misuse of any Prize.

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest if fraud or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Contest as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.   

Online entries are deemed made by the address submitted at the time of entry. The "authorized account holder" is deemed the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, service provider or other online organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. A potential winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry or is a resident of California.  Prizes will only be awarded to the authorized account holders.

If, in the Sponsor's opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to void any entries at issue (including disqualifying any individual who tampers or otherwise interferes with the entry process), and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. In the event of such cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes in a random drawing from all eligible entries received before the time of cancellation.

Sponsor in no way promotes illegal acts, and any and all entries, which include or promote illegal acts will be disqualified.

Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction of unauthorized access to, or alternation of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, including http://www. LAKINGS.com any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Contest.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

All entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant.  In case of multiple entries, only the first entry received will be considered.  In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a Winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry.  The "Authorized Account Holder" is the person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

Any entry that is incomplete, late or otherwise does not comply with these Official Rules will be disqualified.
