MIKE KALINOWSKI
MANAGER, COMMUNICATIONS
Mike Kalinowski is in his eighth season with the Kings and 14th overall season of professional hockey. He has also served media/public relations roles with the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, and the Rockford IceHogs and the Mohawk Valley Prowlers of the United Hockey League after first beginning his hockey career as a play-by-play broadcaster of college hockey.
For the fourth consecutive season, Kalinowski will serve as the Kings traveling media relations contact, representing the team on every road trip this season. He also plays a lead role in the production of team publications like the Kings Media Guide and Royal Reign, and he covers the majority of team practices and morning skates at Toyota Sports Center. Additionally, Kalinowski provides content for LAKings.com and he serves as a voice-over talent for Kings Vision as well as the Kings Marketing and Ticketing departments. The native of Alexandria, Minn., has also twice filled in as a radio voice for the team on the Kings Radio Network (2010 and 2007).
While with the Monarchs, Kalinowski played a lead role in the planning and the hosting of the 2005 AHL All-Star Classic. The Monarchs also won the 2005 PRISM Award and led the AHL in attendance in two of Kalinowski’s three seasons with the team.
