On Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, Kings fans enjoyed a day at Universal Studios Hollywood and then walked the red carpet with their favorite Universal Studios characters at Tip A King 2008, presented by D.I.S.C Spine and Sports Center in Marina Del Rey. Photo Gallery.
Held for the first time at the famous Universal Studios Hollywood, all players, coaches, broadcasters and alumni - including Marty McSorley In its 17-year history, this was the most successful Tip-A-King ever, raising nearly $300,000 for the Kings Care Foundation. Over the past 16 years, Tip A King has allowed the Foundation to distribute more than $2 million for Los Angeles children’s charities. The VIP Reception sponsored by Toyota was held at the park’s premiere event venue, The Globe Theatre. Those in attendance enjoyed Wolfgang Puck’s famous barbeque menu and bar service and had the opportunity to spend time obtaining player autographs and photographs prior to the General Admission portion of the event. Kicking off Tip A King 2008 General Admission, was a special version of Fear Factor Live. No one wanted to miss three lucky fans competing against Jack Johnson, Jeff Guiliano and Peter Harrold as they performed gravity-defying stunts in front of the whole audience.

The fan-favorite Mystery Envelopes and Golden Pucks were also available for purchase.
