LA Landmark To Be Converted To A Hockey Puck
One of Southern California’s most famous landmarks – the iconic donut on top of Randy’s Donuts in Inglewood – will be converted into a hockey puck for the remainder of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The donut is currently slated to transform into a hockey puck beginning Saturday.
On Tuesday, the Kings will host a special fan giveaway at Randy’s Donuts. Currently the event is slated to run from 7 - 8 a.m. with the Kings and Randy’s giving out a Free Glazed donut to all Kings fans who come by Randy’s during this time. Members of the Kings Ice Crew and Bailey will be there.
Said Luc Robitaille, Kings President, Business Operations: “The donut and the LA Kings are both extremely recognizable in our community. We believe it is a great match and our fans will have fun with it during this exciting time."
Said Larry Weintraub, Co-Owner of Randy’s Donuts: “Randy’s Donuts is honored and excited to partner with the Kings and to transform our iconic donut into a special Kings hockey puck in support of this historic run toward the Stanley Cup. The hope is our sign stays a puck throughout the playoffs, culminating with another Stanley Cup victory for the LA Kings.”
