LooKING Back:

After the LA Kings lost Game 3 at home to the Anaheim Ducks, it became time for the organization and the fans to re-focus on what is important right now.

Voting Drew Doughty for the cover of the NHL 15 video game!

Currently, Drew Doughty is matched against his best friend, Logan Couture, in the first round of voting. Which, if the last two years of playoffs mean anything, Doughty should easily beat Couture. And while Drew Doughty is an excellent selection to represent the LA Kings on the cover of NHL 15... we here at The Royal Half have obtained some rejected LA Kings covers that EA Sports had been considering.

With the launch of XBOX One, EA Sports was looking to expand the target market of NHL 15 to teenage girls.

Not the first time we've had Jeff Carter on the NHL cover.

EA Sports was also looking to release a special edition of NHL 15 this year that would appeal to the burgeoning market of the Advanced Stats Community.

"Your CORSI has been too low the last few games. We are sending you to the AHL."

EA Sports is always looking get a piece of the huge market of horror fans.

And let's be honest... if the goal of EA Sports NHL series to become a master architect of an incredibly successful franchise that is the envy of the league...

But if you want the most realistic, hardest-working video game experience, there is only one choice for the cover of NHL 15.
