Round Up: Round 1 Playoff Predictions
We\'ve scoured the internet to see who the professionals pick in the LA vs San Jose series.

WHO:
ESPN’S Pierre Lebrun

PREDICTION:
Kings in six

“I know the Sharks have home-ice advantage, which is not insignificant given how well they play at home, but at the end of the day, I just can't wrap my mind around Quick getting the losing end of his matchup with Niemi. I'm also concerned by the way the Sharks played overall the last few weeks of the regular season. They didn't look as sharp as they need to be. Kings in 6”

WHO: Yahoo! Puck Daddy’s Greg Wyshynski

PREDICTION:
The best to-be-watched series -- “this is going to be like televised crack”:

“Well, this should be fun. The San Jose Sharks look like a Cup contender. The Los Angeles Kings are one of the best-built playoff teams in the NHL. And oh, the drama: Drew Doughty vs. the Sharks’ best offensive talent; San Jose’s goaltending headache; the return of super rookie Tomas Hertl; Jonathan Quick, looking to ease Olympic pain with another Cup; and Dustin Brown probably hitting someone to cause a brawl.”

WHO: ESPN’s Barry Melrose

PREDICTION: Kings in seven

“I thought the mamas and papas put it the best, California dreamin’”.

WHO: SB Nation

PREDICTION:
Three of SB Nation’s eight analysts predict the Kings to beat the Sharks in the first round. Of those three, two have the Kings winning the Stanley Cup:

WHO: CBS Sports’ Brian Stubits, Chris Peters, and Dennis Dodd.

PREDICTION: Only one CBS analyst, Brian Stubits, has the Kings winning in the first round against the Sharks. Stubits predicts the Kings to win in six games. READ.

WHO: The Sporting News and a Dart Board

PREDICTION:
The Sporting News’ staff picks the Sharks to win in seven games, but their dartboard has other thoughts: FIND OUT.

WHO: NHL.com’s Dan Rosen

PREDICTION: The Kings

“Los Angeles is the best possession team in the NHL, as deep as anyone down the middle, and is backed by a world-class goaltender. That hat trick of attributes will lead the Kings to their second Stanley Cup championship in three years.”

WHO: ESPN Experts

PREDICTION:
Nine of ESPN’s 12 NHL experts have the Kings beating the Sharks in the first round. Of those nine, six have the Kings winning the series in seven games; three have the Kings winning in six games.

WHO: TSN’s Scott Cullen

PREDICTION:
Kings in seven

“With a series expected to be as close as this one, it’s easy to side with the goaltender and Jonathan Quick inspires a little more confidence than Antti Niemi right now; enough to give the Kings the edge in a seven-game series.”

WHO: Sports Illustrated’s Gabriel Baumgaertner

PREDICTION:
Kings in six

“After a nasty drought in January that saw them get shut out four times in five games, the addition of Gaborik and standout play from Kopitar has made them one of most balanced teams in the NHL. With such a tenuous situation in goal for the Sharks, L.A. should survive if it gets the usual fine play from Quick.”
