KINGS POINTS LEADER vs INJURED JOHN TAVARES UPDATE:

ARE THE KINGS IN THE PLAYOFFS?

Yes.

LooKING Back:

The LA Kings finished off an impressive 3 game East Coast road trip by beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2. And I just wish there was some way to tell whether or not this LA Kings squad is incredibly relaxed and confident right now.

Well, there you go.

That's right, after the Kings hard-fought victory over the 2nd best team in the Eastern Conference, the team flew back to Los Angeles and pondered a life without milk chocolate. And just in case there was any question about why I love Mike Richards so much...

White Chocolate, forever.

I think we all know that White Chocolate and the Kings just make sense.

But hopefully after this successful East Coast road trip... the Mainstream Hockey Media will be talking less about the LA Kings choice in chocolate and more about their amazing back-checking center.

#SelkeSmooth... it starts now.

IT'S WORKING!!!

Make sure you read Jewels From The Crown's great piece on why Anze Kopitar should win the Selke. And if the LA Kings can hold on to win the Jennings Trophy... this could be one of the biggest post-season awards years for the LA Kings ever.

New Jersey Devils v Los Angeles Kings - Game Six

Ok... maybe the 2nd biggest post-season awards year ever.

LA TOURISM BOARD:

Hey... do you guys have any idea the last time a hockey team from Winnipeg played in Los Angeles?

Atlanta Thrashers v Los Angeles Kings

#NeverForget

Also #NeverForget the time the Kings had Armenian Heritage Night against the Thrashers.

#NeverEverForget

Sure, everyone is talking about how it's been 18 years since a team from Winnipeg played in Los Angeles. But more importantly... the LA Kings played in the last ever regular season Winnipeg Jets (1.0) home game!!!

Do yourself a favor and watch that entire game.

As created by Jesse Cohen from All The Kings Men Podcast... The Moulson Index™ highlights an opposing player from tonights game who has the opportunity to score against his former employer, the LA Kings.

Tonight's Moulson Index Spotlight is:

OLLI JOKINEN, CENTER

In 27 games versus the LA Kings, Olli Jokinen has 8 GOALS & 6 ASSISTS

KEATON ELLERBY, DEFENSE

In 3 games versus the LA Kings, Keaton Ellerby has 1 ASSIST
