KINGS POINTS LEADER vs INJURED JOHN TAVARES UPDATE:
LooKING Back:As rough as last night was for the Colorado Avalanche defense... it was even rougher for Avalanche Head Coach, Patrick Roy. First, NBCSN tried to turn him into the newest internet meme:
Then, NBCSN tried to create a GIF to rival that of the classic David Robinson one:
But most importantly... we now have a new facial expression to associate Patrick Roy with when he plays the Los Angeles Kings:
WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THE PAST GAME:I wish there was some way to quantify how many goals the LA Kings scored last night.
Just a reminder that before the LA Kings scored 6 goals against the Avalanche tonight, they scored 6 goals TOTAL in their previous 5 games.— PumperNicholl (@PumperNicholl) February 27, 2014
Kings scored 6 goals last night. In their previous 11 games they had scored 15.— Mark Whicker (@MWhickerOCR) February 27, 2014
The Kings scored 6 goals last night. They had 6 goals over their final 5 games before the Olympic break.— Craig Forsythe (@4sytheNthFlyers) February 27, 2014

The #LAKings allowed more than three goals in a game for only the 10th time in 60 games this season. Kings win 6-4!— Hawaii Hockey (@Aloha_LAKings) February 27, 2014
Ok, that last one is the most concerning.
The LA Kings scoring 6 goals wasn't the only barrage that hit Los Angeles last night!
hi i'm here is langer's still open?— Los Angeles Rain (@LosAngelesRain) February 27, 2014
After the southland was soaked by the rain last night, it's time to check our TRH DOPPLER GOALWATCH 2000!!!

LA TOURISM BOARD:The Calgary Flames are starting a 22 year-old rookie goaltender making his first ever NHL appearance? What could possibly go wrong?!?
A visual representation of what happens when the LA Kings face rookie goaltenders.
Considering how much the LA Kings have struggled against the Calgary Flames this season, I'm expecting Finnish goaltender Joni Ortio to not only have a shutout, but to also score a goal. Well, at least the Calgary Flames aren't also debuting the leading goal scorer from the AHL this seasOH GOD NO!!!!
So Finns Joni Ortio and and AHL rookie goal leader Markus Granlund are both starting for the Calgary Flames tonight. There hasn't been this much excitement about a Finnish player in Calgary since this guy was in town!

No idea where this came from, but everyone is talking about Olli Jokinen's Olympic face.
As created by Jesse Cohen from All The Kings Men Podcast... The Moulson Index™ highlights an opposing player from tonights game who has the opportunity to score against his former employer, the LA Kings.
Tonight's Moulson Index Spotlight is:

In 15 games versus the LA Kings, Mike Cammalleri has 8 GOALS & 4 ASSISTS
THE ROYAL HALF KINGS WEEKLY PREVIEW OF THE DAYNow that those pesky Olympics are out of the way... Kings Weekly is back to cover the best of the LA Kings... talking about the Olympics.
And since the IOC's strict copyright laws kept Fox Sports from being able to use footage of the USA-Canada game, they had to blur the television in the LA Kings dressing room. Which then unintentionally created a great new photoshop contest!
What say you, Kings fans? Photoshop what the LA Kings are watching and
