Kings And Northrop Grumman To Host A Media Day At The ‘Science Of Hockey’ Event

LOS ANGELES – The LA Kings and Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) will team up on Friday, Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to teach local middle school children the science and physics of the game of hockey.  Local media are invited to cover this on-ice seminar, which will culminate a four-day series of “Science of Hockey” events involving more than 240 local students.
 
The four-day “Science of Hockey” event takes place from Tuesday, Feb. 18 through Friday, Feb. 21 at the Toyota Sports Center (555 N. Nash Street in El Segundo).  The event serves as one of several Northrop Grumman educational outreach activities for National Engineers Week (February 16-22), aimed at encouraging young students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
 
Scheduled to participate in the ‘Science of Hockey’ event are Kings’ players Justin Williams and Alec Martinez and Kings broadcasters Jim Fox, Daryl Evans and Sean O’Donnell.
