OILERS + FLAMES VS THE KINGS POINTS UPDATE:
LooKING Back:The LA Kings are in the midst of a 1-8-1 slump over their last 10 games in which they've been outscored 30 to 13. I think it's time for some of the LA Kings players to take a long, hard stare in the mirror at themselves...
... and figure out where their hearts are.
LA TOURISM BOARD:The last time the LA Kings played the Columbus Blue Jackets, it didn't go so well. Thankfully, the Olympic Break is upon us after tonight's game and our players (and fans) can get some much needed rest. Well, all the players except the LA Kings' 6 best players that is!

TOP 5 THINGS THE LA KINGS PLAYERS SHOULD BRING TO SOCHI!!!
Every hockey player needs a good solid knob to help them play comfortably, right?
Well, unfortunately, in Sochi... you need a different kind of knob to help you play comfortably!
Guy checking into his hotel room in Sochi had to go back to the front desk to get his rooms door knob #DoorKey— Edward Karcher (@arizcats) February 5, 2014
Ok, doorknob karma. My apologies, Sochi. pic.twitter.com/OBV8cR3uDA— Barry Petchesky (@barryap1) February 4, 2014
To anyone in Sochi: I am now in possession of three light bulbs. Will trade for a door handle. This offer is real: pic.twitter.com/7AeesqDi8Y— Dan Wetzel (@DanWetzel) February 4, 2014
That's right, if you want to get a decent nights sleep before playing in your big preliminary hockey matchup... I'd advise the LA Kings players to bring their own doorknobs. You know... so they can lock their hotel room doors.
It's just past 4:30am here. Someone just unlocked, opened my door, saw I was in bed and scurried away without a word. Seems about right.— Brian Costa (@BrianCostaWSJ) February 5, 2014
You know... maybe we could kill two birds with one stone here....
... and use a hockey puck as a doorknob! No, really... this is a thing.
Apparently, lightbulbs are at a premium in Sochi right now. Even our own Helene Elliott has been struggling to light up her hotel room.
arrived in Sochi. Aeroflot was fine. get to hotel...no TV. no bulbs in many of the lamps. no shower rod/curtain. but lots of flashlights.— Helene Elliott (@helenenothelen) February 2, 2014
I have this in my room...but still no light bulbs in the lamps, no TV, no hair dryer. pic.twitter.com/YX4icewIda— Helene Elliott (@helenenothelen) February 3, 2014
within a span of five minutes, i got a TV, a four-pack of toilet paper, four fresh towels and six small bars of soap. bliss.— Helene Elliott (@helenenothelen) February 5, 2014
@litljenj nope, no light bulbs. Afraid to push my luck and ask for bulbs, too. Flashlights have a certain charm...— Helene Elliott (@helenenothelen) February 5, 2014
Well, thankfully the players from the LA Kings have some lightbulbs that have hardly been used and they can easily pack them before the game tonight to take to Sochi!
Anytime you are traveling to a remote country that may not have the most updated indoor plumbing... you have to make sure you bring some sort of anti-virus.
Ohhh, that kind of an anti-virus.
So if no doorknobs or lightbulbs weren't bad enough... apparently the minute you set foot in Russia... your phone will be hacked. And there is nothing worse than when a hockey player's phone gets hacked.
