FLAMES + OILERS VS THE KINGS POINTS UPDATE:

LooKING Back:

Last night in San Jose, Andy Lassner's wish finally came true: That's right, Andy, the Executive Producer of the Ellen Show and mega-LA Kings fan, made a pledge 5 days ago to donate $10 for every LA Kings goal scored for the remainder of the season to the Kings Care Foundation. Since Andy made his pledge... the LA Kings have scored 2 goals in 180 minutes at an average of .66 goals per game. With 27 games left in the NHL regular season, that means the LA Kings are going to score 17.8 more goals if they keep this current pace. Which means Andy Lassner is going to donate $178. And that's not fun.

Right, Justin Williams? Don't you want to help out Kings Care Foundation?

Now by all means, any donation helps... but come on, LA Kings players... do you really want to disappoint the great people at Kings Care Foundation like this? So how do we fix this? Well, the year the LA Kings won the Stanley Cup, they scored 194 goals during the regular season (which was 13th best in the league). Currently, the Kings have scored 133 goals (which is 23rd best in the league, just one below Carolina!) So if the LA Kings can at least match their goal scoring output from 2011-12... they would be on pace to score 62 goals since Andy Lassner made his pledge, which means he will donate $620 dollars... which is much more like it! And then the LA Kings players can be all smiles!

WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THE PAST GAME:

Apparently, this is still a thing in San Jose.

Never change, San Jose fans. Like you could even if you tried.

LA TOURISM BOARD:

Since the great success and wide-spread admiration of the Los Angeles Stadium Series™ game, several other Southern-based hockey teams are leaping at the chance to host one. The city of Phoenix Glendale has emerged as one of the front-runners for the next location of a Southern Stadium Series™ game. And they've even put together a rendering of what it could look like.

Nope.

Closer.

Nailed it.

The above rendering of the Phoenix Coyotes Stadium Series™ game isn't before the players take the... no, it's during the game. Here is a close up angle:

See you outdoors in Glendale in 2015!

As created by Jesse Cohen from All The Kings Men Podcast... The Moulson Index™ highlights an opposing player from tonights game who has the opportunity to score against his former employer, the LA Kings.

Tonight's Moulson Index Spotlight is:

In 27 games versus the LA Kings, Jeff Halpern has 5 GOALS & 6 ASSISTS
