OILERS + FLAMES VS THE KINGS POINTS UPDATE:

LooKING Back:

Thursday night, the LA Kings lost to their Coors Light Stadium Series™ Rival, the Anaheim Ducks 2-1. And during their next practice, Darryl Sutter had some stern advice for the players and fans of the Los Angeles Kings.

Dress comfortably for the Outdoor Game... but also fashionably.

LA TOURISM BOARD:

Well, the day is finally here! Outdoor NHL hockey in Southern California!

Slava Voynov's not sure what the big deal is about skating in a rink with no roof.

Now, I know that a lot of fans and media have criticized the concept of the Coors Light Stadium Series™ as nothing more than the NHL's attempt to make more money. But after spending a few days this past week at Dodger Stadium getting a chance to preview the game experience, I'm really excited about today and I think it will be a unique and amazing time for all fans in attendance. Sure, the NHL is going to make a lot of money off this game... but it's not like either of these teams have set up a home shopping network to sell off collectables at outrageous prices, right? RIGHT?!?

So the answer is yes... Brian Hayward has always been a blatant homer.

That's right, during the broadcast of a Kings-Ducks game from March 16th, 1994, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim ran a Home Shopping Network segment for nearly 7 minutes during an intermission. And you thought the Stadium Series™ merchandise was outrageous!

Oh, $350 for a goalie stick signed by Patrik Carnback and Bill Houlder seems like a steal!

69 dollars? So much for "family entertainment", Disney.

"Commemorative Videocassette" is the most 1990s thing ever.

I mean, seriously... have you ever seen a product tie-in with a hockey team be this awful?!?

Oh, I guess you have.

As created by Jesse Cohen from All The Kings Men Podcast... The Moulson Index™ highlights an opposing player from tonights game who has the opportunity to score against his former employer, the LA Kings.

Tonight's Moulson Index Spotlight is:

DUSTIN PENNER, LEFT WING

In 27 games versus the LA Kings, Dustin Penner has 10 GOALS & 9 ASSISTS
