LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have recalled forward Tanner Pearson from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

This is Pearson’s second re-call of the season.  The 21-year-old rookie has appeared in six games for the Kings this season (his first in the NHL), recording one goal and zero penalty minutes.

The 6-1, 200-pound native of Kitchener Ontario has played in 30 games for the Monarchs this season, recording 25 points (13-12=25), 14 penalty minutes and plus-9 rating.  His 13 goals are tied for the club lead, while his 25 points is third on the team.

Pearson made his NHL debut for the Kings in last year’s playoffs.  He was selected by the Kings in the first round (30th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft. The Kings continue a five-game homestand at STAPLES Center tonight versus Minnesota with game-time set for 7:30 p.m.  The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports West and KEIB AM 1150 with coverage beginning at 7 p.m.
