PHILADELPHIA FLYERS VS JEFF CARTER POINTS UPDATE:

LooKING Back:

The LA Kings earned a hard-fought 2-1 shootout victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night, where they faced a backup goaltender with an impressive body of work.

Close.

Nailed it.

But even Richard Bachman's stellar save percentage wasn't the best looking thing on the ice Sunday night.

We are all in agreement here that Luke Gadzic is checking himself out, right?

WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THE PAST GAME:

Apparently, hockey fans in the middle of Alberta... really, really, really care about the 3 Stars of the Game.

I feel like "housemen" is not politically correct, right?

Man, Edmonton Oilers fans need to chill out. It's not like you win an award by getting the most 3 Stars in a game or anythWHAAAAAAAAAA?!?!

So apparently every season since 1979-80, the Edmonton Oilers have awarded something called "The Molson Cup" to the player that earns the most cumulative 3 Stars nominations. To be fair, at least the Molson Cup guarantees that the Edmonton Oilers win something each year besides the Draft Lottery. I'm just glad that the Oilers are the only team in Canada dumb enough to give out an award for being selected one of the top 3 Stars by the home team's media.

And this whole time I thought the Buffalo Sabres won the Moulson Cup.

LA TOURISM BOARD:

Since getting embarrassed by Dwight King less than a week ago, the Phoenix Coyotes went on to beat the Edmonton Oilers in a totally wacky game. But most importantly, center Martin Hanzal has been suspended for 2 games, meaning that hockey fans everywhere will be spared for a few days from seeing "Hanzal, so hot right now" on Twitter.

And just when you think you've run out of ways to make fun of the Phoenix Coyotes in LA Kings GAMEDAY PREVIEWS...

...you look at the Coyotes Facebook page.

Money well spent on that Hungrier Than Ever commercial, Coyotes Ownership.

I can't think of anything more frightening than paying money to watch the Preds and Coyotes.

Also from the Phoenix Coyotes Facebook Page:

Phoenix Coyotes marketing, everyone!

Wow, the Coyotes message of "diva" and "man up" in one single Facebook post! It's up to you to decide which one is which.

Let's be honest, there is only one way to correctly use the Phoenix Coyotes Facebook Page....

Advantage, Kings.

As created by Jesse Cohen from All The Kings Men Podcast... The Moulson Index™ highlights an opposing player from tonights game who has the opportunity to score against his former employer, the LA Kings.

Tonight's Moulson Index Spotlight is:
