LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms on a three-year entry level contract with forward Scott Sabourin, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Sabourin, 21, appeared in 65 regular season games with the Ontario Hockey League’s Oshawa Generals last season, posting 50 points (30-20=50) and 142 penalty minutes.  His 30 goals ranked second on the club, while his 50 points ranked fourth.  His 142 penalty minutes were second in the OHL.  Sabourin also appeared in nine playoff games with Oshawa (4-3=7) before joining the American Hockey League’s Manchester Monarchs for five regular season games and three playoff games.

The 6-3, 203-pound native of Orleans, Ontario played three  years with Oshawa and increased his offensive production each of those three seasons.  Sabourin played for the Kings in the recent “Futures Games” against the Anaheim Ducks and appeared in two preseason games with the Kings (1-0=1, 7 PIM).

The Kings play their Home Opener tonight at STAPLES Center against the New York Rangers, with game-time slated for 7:30 p.m.  The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports West and KTLK AM1150.
