VIP Doors in the arena open at 5 p.m. and all doors open at 5:30 p.m. Rally Towels presented by Toyota, Travel Alberta, McDonald’s, Mercury Insurance Company and Verizon will be given to all fans as they enter. The puck is slated to be dropped at 7:10 p.m.
The Kings for the fourth straight season are holding a “Beard-A-Thon” during the postseason where fans are encouraged to grow their own Playoff Beards and help raise money for the Kings Care Foundation. For more information, or to enroll in the Kings Beard-A-Thon, visit LAKings.com/beardathon. Fans can sign up for the Beard-A-Thon at the Kings Care Booth (section 103 of the main concourse) throughout the game. The first 20 people to sign up at the booth will receive a free Dustin Penner autographed player card.
Additionally, face painters will be stationed at Fan Fest and the Kings Care Booth painting beards on fans of all ages. A green screen photo opportunity will superimpose images of fans and their playoff beards, real and painted, on to the Kings player bench. Each service is available for $10.
At Team LA at STAPLES Center, “Playoff Beards” will be sold to fans of all ages as the public joins in on the fun.
The Kings Care Foundation has also partnered with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to raise awareness during these playoffs of the need for platelets. Donate your platelets at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles between May 1 and May 8 and be entered to win two Kings playoff tickets and a game-used autographed stick.
