Well, the 2013 regular season has come to an end. For Los Angeles Kings fans, the last home game of the season is always an exciting event. But the moment that all fans wait for is the announcement of the Team Awards. In the past, such esteemed players as Dimitri Khristich and Steven Finn have received a LA Kings Team Award. It truly is one honor that lasts a lifetime.

2003-04 Most Popular Player
as voted by LA Kings fans. Seriously.

Let's take a look at the winners of the 2013 Los Angeles Kings Team Awards!

BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER -  Jim "Poorman" Trenton

Once a successful DJ for local radio station KROQ, Poorman now spends most of his free time defending one player... Jon Bernier.

BEST NEWCOMER - LA Kings Brasil

First seen upon the pages of these here GAMEDAY PREVIEWS... the LA Kings Brasil Twitter Account thrust himself onto the scene as the must-read resource for all things Los Angeles Kings and South America. And he then parlayed this new attention into constantly asking people on Twitter to follow him.

I can't wait until LA Kings Brasil is a member of the Professional Hockey Writers Association.

MOST POPULAR PLAYER - Jarret Stoll

I'm sorry... this should read "Most Popular Playa."
That also wears powder.

MOST INSPIRATIONAL PLAYERS - Team TRH

Affectionately known as the #RoyalLoyals... we couldn't write these GAMEDAY PREVIEWS without the support and hatred thrown at us by our fans. But the truly most inspirational players are the ones who have worked with The Royal Half directly this season. From the deeply disturbing looks at  LA Kings opponents from One Girl, One Puck... to the 90s LA Kings Video History lessons by Spike Coffman... to our TRH Official Recapper™, PumperNicholl... to the dueling Photoshop Genii, Indiana Matt and Ironsight Design... and to the LA Kings Podmaster General... Kings Men Podcast. And most importantly, to my Half Season Ticket Holder Buddy... who has quite literally seen it all with me. Thanks to all of these people and to all of you who have read these GAMEDAY PREVIEWS during this half season.

I promised Mess I wouldn't do this.

And a special thanks to Pat Donahue and Dewayne Hankins. Not just for making #Lumbus a thing... but for pushing me to write these GAMEDAY PREVIEWS all half season long. Now, it's time for the playoffs. So let's win it all... again.
