THE CALGARY FLAMES VS JEFF CARTER POINTS UPDATE:

ARE THE LA KINGS IN THE PLAYOFFS?

This past Friday night, the Anaheim Ducks were desperate to find a backup goaltender so they looked in the most logical place possible...

Obviously the goal of video production in the early 90s was to
make everything look like a cheap skateboarding video.

Rob Laurie, a 42 year-old former Roller Hockey International star goaltender, was signed to a one-day pro tryout contract

Wake me when the Anaheim Ducks DON'T sign a 42 year-old to a contract.

And to show just how strong the goaltender fraternity is across the world... Viktor Fasth did his best to give Rob Laurie a chance to play in a NHL game.

So with the news that Anaheim Ducks center, Ryan Getzlaf, might be out for tonight's big matchup against the Los Angeles Kings... we decided to present a couple of players that the Ducks could sign in his absence.

1) VICTOR GERVAIS

Victor Gervais is the all-time leading scorer for the Anaheim Bullfrogs in goals and assists. In 1997, Gervais was the Captain for the Bullfrogs as they won their 2nd RHI Championship. Which means one thing and one thing only...

Victor Gervais has more Championship rings than the San Jose Sharks.

And besides... any player worthy of a painting like this is worthy to take the roster spot of Ryan Getzlaf.

If Ryan Getzlaf is reading this GAMEDAY PREVIEW...

... then it's literally the first time he's ever looked at a piece of art.

2) HUGO BELANGER

Hugo Belanger was also a member of the 1997 RHI Champion Anaheim Bullfrogs team. But the next season, while playing for the Virginia Vultures of something called the MLRH, Belanger led the league in scoring with 79 goals and 79 assists in 20 games played. He also set a league record with 11 goals and 15 assists in one game. But the main reason I'm suggesting that the Anaheim Ducks should sign Hugo Belanger to replace Ryan Getzlaf is so that I can post this video:

If Ryan Getzlaf is reading this GAMEDAY PREVIEW...

...then he already knows about Arbonne.

3) DAVIS PAYNE

That's right... LA Kings Assistant Coach, Davis Payne, once wore this jersey:

Davis Payne had 17 points in 11 games playing for the New Jersey Rockin' Rollers... and it probably looked something like this:

#BringBackTheVest

And if when the contracts of Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry get bought out by the Anaheim Ducks... at least they can keep playing the game they love.

Although since Corey Perry loves dressing up... he might be better suited for a different roller league...

So whether or not Ryan Getzlaf plays in tonight's game... it's always exciting when Los Angeles and Anaheim face each other.

EATTTTTTTT IT!
