LEE STEMPNIAK VS JEFF CARTER'S GOALS UPDATE:

ARE THE LA KINGS IN THE PLAYOFFS?

Tonight marks a monumental debut in the 46 year history of the Los Angeles Kings franchise... the first player ever named Robyn to play for the LA Kings!!!

"Ok, so don't ever ask Coach about the farm. He'll corner you and talk for hours..."
"Yeah, I know. I told you, John... I played for him for like 7 years."
"And don't get started with him about his tractor."

That's right... tonight will be the first time someone named Robyn (or even Robin) skates onto the ice in a Los Angeles Kings uniform. Sure... we've come close before:

They are mighty fine Rob's... but they are no Robyn's.
Well except for Robert Logan... the only dude without a hockey card.

Robyn Regehr is a 6'3", 225 pound stay-at-home defenseman that has spent his professional career playing in Calgary, Alberta and Buffalo, New York. I'm sure he'll have no trouble adjusting to life in sunny Southern California.

And the good news is that Robyn Regehr has already spent a considerable amount of time in Los Angeles over the past few years filming his incredibly successful television show.

Robyn Regehr coming to the LA Kings might be the best thing to happen to The Royal Half
since Darryl Sutter became Head Coach.

Thankfully, if Jerry Bruckheimer ever makes a sequel to Eighth Seed... we know who could play Regher.

My hope is that Coach Sutter pairs Robyn Regehr with Drew Doughty so that us LA Kings fans can finally get the Superhero Duo on defense we've always wanted.
