BEST COACH TO COACH BOTH TEAMS
BUT WIN A STANLEY CUP WITH THE KINGS:

I couldn't find a photo of Darryl Sutter coaching the Blackhawks on the Internet. I'm sorry.

BEST OPPOSITION BLOGS:

Coming off two much needed victories in a row, the Los Angeles Kings head to the Midwest to take on the best team in the NHL, the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks have not lost a game in regulation this season and with one quarter of the season already passed... the LA Kings need to battle hard for every single point. So since this is such an imperative game for the LA Kings, I decided to take an in-depth look at the biggest obstacle facing the Kings and Blackhawks during this Sunday matinee matchup...

The NHLonNBCSports Twitter Account.
Seriously... who favorites this tweet?!? I'm looking at you, Jeremy Ebdon.

I'm not exactly sure when it began... but over the past few weeks I've become incredibly obsessed with the NHLonNBCSports Twitter Account. Not because they are a great source to go to when you want information about... well... the NHL on NBC. No, I've become obsessed with them because they are the Coldplay to the LA Kings Twitter Account's Radiohead.

I'm sorry... but no one uses "tweeps" un-ironically anymore.

Well, I'm confused NHLonNBCSports. Which one is it?
Did it go off the pipe or did Nash shoot wide? Cause it can't be both.

Maybe I'm being too hard on the NHLonNBCSports Twitter feed... sometimes they really work hard to give the fans the information they need while they are already watching a live sporting event on TV.

Ok... that's no so bad. They are just writing a tweet to
let fans know that the second period is underway.

And then a few seconds later they re-tweet one of the teams that is
playing its NHL game on NBC Sports saying that the second period is underway.

I don't understand how Nick Lidstrom or Tomas Holmstrom would hear you say "what's up"
to them since neither of them are on Twitter and unless the guy that runs @NHLonNBCSports
was literally going to go up to Lidstrom and Holmstrom after the game and say
"hey guys, 25 people say "what's up".

I don't get it.

No seriously... I don't get these.

But most importantly, since NBC is the NHL's official US national network partner, the stars of the NHLonNBC broadcast team always make themselves available to the NHLonNBCSports Twitter Account....

And by "make themselves available" of course I mean answer one question on Twitter.

Don't believe me that @NHLonNBCSports asked their tweeps for questions that only Pierre McGuire could answer... and then just had him answer one?

The above is a non-photoshopped screengrab of NHLonNBCSports timeline from its last tweet
on February 11th to its first tweet on February 13th. It takes Pierre McGuire longer
to tell me which junior team Mike Richards played on than it does to answer one question on Twitter.

Well, at least this was the only time that NHLonNBCSports crowd sourced a bunch of questions for its own broadcaster and then just let him answer one of them, right? RIGHT?!?

Start at the bottom and read up.

Well, at least NHLonNBCSports doesn't do anything incredibly stupid... you know... like completely alienate their fanbase.

Great... so how in the heck are Calgary Flames fan supposed to name
5 top players on their team when they only have 2 top players???

In your face, NHLonNBCSports.

So I guess at the end of the day... the NHLonNBCSports Twitter Feed is just that annoying little brother who tries too hard and we can never get rid of.
