LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have recalled defenseman Andrew Campbell from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and have assigned defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Campbell, who turned 25 on Monday, has played in 27 games for the Monarchs this season and recorded six points (all assists), 26 penalty minutes and a plus-11 rating (leads Monarchs defensemen). Originally selected by the Kings in the third-round (74th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-4, 206-pound native of Caledonia, Ontario, has not played in the NHL. He will wear No. 81.

He has played in 39 games with Manchester this season and has 12 points (3-9=12), 48 penalty minutes and a plus-8 rating.

The Kings continue their road trip in Nashville tomorrow beginning at 5 p.m. (PT). The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports West – including a pre-game show -- and KTLK AM 1150.
