Kings Announce Roster Moves
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have recalled defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and have placed defenseman Matt Greene on the injured reserve list (retroactive to January 19), Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Bodnarchuk participated in training camp with the Kings before he was assigned to Manchester on January 18 when the Kings officially set their player roster for the start of this season. The 5-11, 190-pound native of Drumheller, Alberta, has played in 39 games with Manchester this season and has 12 points (3-9=12).
Bodnarchuk, who wears No. 47, has played in five NHL games (with Boston in 2009-10). He is expected to meet the Kings in Denver.
Greene has been placed on IR due to a mid-body injury. In one game with the Kings this season he has one point (an assist).
The Kings begin a three-game road trip in Colorado tomorrow beginning at 6 p.m. (PT). The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports West and KTLK AM 1150.
