Kings Raise $23K For Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts
DONATION TO GO TO AMERICAN RED CROSS
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have announced the club has raised $23,085.46 for the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
Of the $23,085.46 raised, half ($11,522.73) of the donations were collected through on online campaign on LAKings.com, Bailey’s Buddies memberships and LA Kings Ice Crew calendar sales. That amount was then matched by the Kings Care Foundation.
“Hurricane Sandy was a devastating disaster back East and our thoughts and prayers remain with all the victims,” Kings President, Business Operations Luc Robitaille said. “Kings fans never cease to amaze me when it comes to supporting those in need and they certainly stepped up to the plate again here. We are very happy we are able to contribute to the relief efforts and I personally thank everyone for their time and efforts to help with this worthy cause.”
