Kings enter the 2012 NHL Draft with 7 potential selections
The Pittsburgh Penguins will host this year’s draft at CONSOL Energy Center
LOS ANGELES – The 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings are scheduled to make up to seven selections at the 2012 NHL Draft, held Friday and Saturday (June 22-23) at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh.
The first round of the draft will take place on Friday, with NBC Sports Network providing live coverage of the event starting at 4 p.m. (PT). Rounds two through seven of the draft are scheduled for Saturday, starting at 7 a.m. (PT) with the NHL Network and NHL.com providing round-by-round coverage.
The following is a list of the Kings round-by-round selections in this year’s draft:

*The Columbus Blue Jackets have the option of using the Kings first-round selection in either the 2012 or 2013 NHL Draft. Columbus acquired that option along with defenseman Jack Johnson when the Kings acquired Jeff Carter from the Blue Jackets on February 23, 2012. Columbus doesn’t need to make a decision until Friday during the draft.
