Kings goaltender Jonathan Bernier and the Kings Care Foundation are teaming up to award one local deserving goalie with new RBK hockey goalie equipment.
Coaches, friends and/or family members are encouraged to tell Bernier in 500 words or less why your young goalie is deserving of new RBK goalie pads, blocker and goalie stick. Nominees must be between 4 and 10 years old.
To submit your nomination visit www.LAKings.com/bernier.
Nominations will be accepted through May 1 and the winner will be notified by May 11.
Bernier was recently named the recipient of the 2011-12 Kings Community Service Award, as selected by the Kings Care Foundation.
Game 2 between the Kings and Canucks in the Western Conference Quarterfinals is tomorrow, with game-time from Rogers Arena slated for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on KCOP (Ch. 13) and KTLK 1150. For all Kings ticket information, call 1-888-KINGS-LA and visit LAKings.com.
