Kings To Begin Playoffs On Wednesday

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings’ first round NHL Stanley Cup Playoff series versus the Vancouver Canucks is as follows, the Kings and the National Hockey League announced this morning. The Kings are the eighth seed in the Western Conference.
The Kings will announce the club’s local TV broadcast schedule once confirmed. Kings playoff games on the radio will be heard on flagship station KTLK AM 1150. Here is the national TV schedule, per the NHL:
The Kings expect to distribute an electronic version and a printed version of their 2012 Postseason Media Guide beginning tomorrow. The Kings communications department will also be distributing their General Media Playoff Information procedural guidelines tomorrow as well.
The Kings have faced the Canucks in a playoff series on four occasions having split the all-time postseason series, 2-2. They met in 2010 (Canucks won), 1993 (Kings won), 1991 (Kings won) and 1982 (Canucks won).
Here is a breakdown of the season series between the Kings and Canucks in 2011-12:
- Game 1: Kings at Vancouver -- Wed., April 11 -- 7:30 p.m.
- Game 2: Kings at Vancouver -- Fri., April 13 -- 7 p.m.
- Game 3: Vancouver at Kings -- Sun., April 15 -- 7:30 p.m.
- Game 4: Vancouver at Kings -- Wed., April 18 -- 7 p.m.
