The Good: Should the Kings not be able to pull out a division title, it might be nice to face an unproven (in the playoffs) St. Louis team.
The Bad: Coyotes win, which means that we'll be relying on the Wild today for our chance at the Pacific Division crown.
The Odd: Ryane Clowe (still).
Tonight's Games That Matter and Your Guide For Rooting:
Chicago at Detroit, 10 a.m. -- Your call. If the Blackhawks win in regulation or overtime, they would take over the fifth seed.
Phoenix at Minnesota, 5 p.m. -- Wild. Time to be Wild fans, folks. If the Wild win in regulation, Kings and Sharks are playing for the Pacific title.
St. Louis at Dallas, 5 p.m. -- Your call. Keep an eye on this game and Canucks/Oilers as their is still a battle for top seed in the West.
Edmonton at Vancouver, 7 p.m. -- Your call. See above.
Los Angeles at San Jose, 7:30 p.m. -- Kings. No matter what Phoenix does, this game will have seeding implications and the plotlines are plenty thick already. Is there a better script for the final NHL regular season game of 2011-12?

Division leaders are seeded 1, 2, and 3 in Conference standings. If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:
The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the Shootout.
The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season.
