LOS ANGELES – Below is an update and recap on events/appearances involving the Los Angeles Kings Alumni Association Presented By Toyota:

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Tuesday, March 13: 12th Annual LA Sports Fans Choice Awards

Gary Edwards, Pete Demers and Brandon Convery will be attending the 12th Annual LA Sports Fans Choice Awards, which takes place at the Luxe Hotel in Beverly Hills. Former Lakers John Salley and Michael Cooper will be hosting the event.

Tuesday, March 13: Pre-Game Chalk Talk
Jim Fox will host a pre-game chalk talk for a Wells Fargo reception before the Kings-Detroit game.

Thursday, March 14: Pucks, Pi and Pizza Day
In honor of Pi Day (March 14 or 3.14) Raytheon is creating an educational math program and pizza pie lunch (courtesy of Pizza Hut) for students at Madrona Middle School in Torrance.  Jim Fox and Daryl Evans will be Masters of Ceremony for the event, which will feature fun hockey math problems and activities for the students.

Saturday, March 17: Pre-Game Chalk Talk
Daryl Evans will host a pre-game chalk talk for an American Express reception before the Kings-Nashville game.

Wednesday, Feb. 1: Alumni Game vs. Camp Pendleton
Luc Robitaille, Daryl Evans, Marty McSorley, Jim Fox, Nelson Emerson, Craig Johnson, Ian Turnbull, Jamie Storr, Bernie Nicholls, Rob Blake and Pete Demers all participated in a special alumni game vs. the Camp Pendleton marines at STAPLES Center.

Wednesday, Feb. 1: Autographs at Toyota Booth
Marty McSorley signed autographs at the Toyota Booth during the first intermission of the Kings-Blue Jackets game.

Friday, Feb. 3: Alumni Game in Simi Valley
Rob Blake, Gary Edwards, Bill Huard, Marty McSorley, Glen Murray, Ian Turnbull and Pete Demers all participated in a special alumni game against the Iceoplex All-Stars at the Simi Valley Iceoplex.  Proceeds from the event went to the Mariners/Titans Youth Hockey Organization.

Sunday, Feb. 12: Hooters Watch Party in Long Beach
Ian Turnbull appeared at the Hooters Watch Party in Long Beach, as the Kings took on the Dallas Stars.

Monday, Feb. 13: Second Annual Athletes Touch Golf Open

Luc Robitaille and Jim Fox participated in the Second Annual Athletes Touch Golf Open, with Robitaille serving as the Guest of Honor.  The event, which took place at Trump National Golf Course, benefited Echoes of Hope.

Wednesday, Feb. 15: Open Skate and Reception for American Express

Jim Fox was on-hand for a special Private Practice, presented by American Express, at the Toyota Sports Center.  Fans had a chance to watch the Kings practice while listening to commentary from Jim Fox, enjoy a private reception, skate on the Kings practice rink and meet a player.  

Friday, Feb. 17: Street Nights Clinic at Challengers Boys and Girls Club

Daryl Evans hosted a special street hockey clinic for the Challengers Boys and Girls Club.  The clinic was in effort to teach the game of hockey, promote physical fitness and help fight urban childhood obesity.  This event was in conjunction with the LA Kings Black History Month Celebration.

Saturday, Feb. 18: Charlie Simmer Legends Night:
As part of the Legends Night Series Presented By McDonald’s the Kings honored former great Charlie Simmer with a special pre-game ceremony before the Kings battled the Calgary Flames at STAPLES Center.  Simmer, who was part of the acclaimed “Triple Crown Line,” also signed autographs at the Toyota Booth during the first intermission.

Sunday, Feb. 19: Taste of South Bay
Luc Robitaille, Marty McSorley, Ian Turnbull, Jim Fox, Daryl Evans and Glen Murray appeared at the Fourth Annual Taste of South Bay event, presented by Hush Hush and the LA Kings.  The event, which took place at Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach, featured numerous restaurants around the South Bay sampling their food and drinks.

Thursday, March 1: Second Annual Rivalry Hold ‘Em Poker Challenge at San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino
Luc Robitaille, Marty McSorley, Jim Fox, Daryl Evans, Marcel Dionne, Glen Murray, Ian Turnbull, Bernie Nicholls, Gary Edwards and Pete Demers all participated at the Second Annual Rivalry Hold ‘Em Poker Challenge at San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino.  The event featured the Los Angeles Kings Alumni Association Presented By Toyota, Anaheim Ducks alumni and Kings-Ducks fans playing against each other, with proceeds benefiting the Kings Care Foundation and Anaheim Ducks Foundation.

Friday, March 1 through Sunday, March 3: LA Kings Fantasy Camp, hosted by Marty McSorley and brought to you by the LA Kings Alumni Association Presented By Toyota
Marty McSorley, Luc Robitaille, Marcel Dionne, Glen Murray, Jim Fox, Daryl Evans, Ian Turnbull, Bernie Nicholls, Jamie Storr, Mark Hardy, Pete Demers and former NHL’er Dennis Maruk all participated at the LA Kings Fantasy Camp.  During the once-again sold out event fantasy camp participants had the chance to take the ice and play with and against Kings alumni, as well as attend the March 3 game against the Anaheim Ducks.  During the first intermission of the March 3 game against Anaheim Dionne signed autographs at the Toyota Booth.
