Second Annual Rivalry Hold ‘Em Poker Challenge
The tournament, with a buy-in of $35, will be played inside the Yuhaviatam Room of the casino. All proceeds from the buy-in support the Kings Care Foundation and Anaheim Ducks Foundation. The tournament will feature 450 Ducks fans and 450 Kings fans playing against each other, team alumni, poker pros and celebrities. They will be playing for cash prizes of $10,000. Tickets are now on sale and buy-ins can be purchased at LAKINGS.com/poker. The evening closes with an after party at the casino’s nightclub, The Pines, which is free for tournament participants and where alumni are set to attend.
The following members of the Los Angeles Kings Alumni Association Presented By Toyota scheduled to attend include: Marcel Dionne, Gary Edwards, Nelson Emerson, Daryl Evans, Jim Fox, Marty McSorley, Glen Murray, Bernie Nicholls, Luc Robitaille and Ian Turnbull. Kings broadcasters Bob Miller and Nick Nickson, as well as mascot Bailey, in-arena host Jay Flats and members of the Kings Ice Crew are also scheduled to appear.
“Coming off such a successful rivalry tournament last year, there was no question of hosting again. Fans helped to raise over $23,000, and we expect another night of great charitable giving with these two organizations,” said Steve Lengel, Executive Director of Operations for San Manuel.
