Ontario Gets Goals from Five Players in Win

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.- The Ontario Reign (23-14-2-2), proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, dominated in a 5-1 win over the Bakersfield Condors (10-29-4-1) before 5,188 Saturday night at Rabobank Arena.
Bill Bagron started the Reign's 4-0 run just 59 seconds into the first perod as he made a slick move around Tyson Gimblet and chipped the puck past Bryan Pitton.
Steven Tarasuk took a cross-ice feed from Chris Cloud and backhanded the puck into the net on Pitton’s short side to put the Reign up 2-0 at 1:13 of the scond frame. C. J. Stretch tallied his 19th goal of the season and first goal since his return from the AHL with a precision shot from the left circle at 13:50.
Kevin Estrada capitalized on a broken play in Bakersfield's end to establish an 4-0 for Ontario at 4:13 of the third period as he went backhand to forehand to beat Pitton. Parker Stanfield broke the shutout for the Condors with a goal at 8:02 before Geoff Irwin added his ninth goal of the season at 13:58 on the way to Ontario's 5-1 win.
Jean-Francois Berube (6-8-1) stopped 28 of the 29 shots he faced in the win, while Pitton (4-16-2) took the loss with 26 saves on 31 shots. Neither Chris Carrozzi nor Matt Kettley faced any shots in relief.
