The Los Angeles Kings’ annual Tip-A-King event, which took place on Sunday, raised more than $200,000 for the Kings Care Foundation, the club announced today.
Kings players, coaches, alumni and broadcasters spent the day yesterday at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City. All proceeds raised from the annual event benefit the Kings Care Foundation, the club’s award-winning non-profit organization that provides educational and recreational opportunities for children throughout Greater Los Angeles.
Kings forward Colin Fraser served as a special correspondent for Kings Vision at the event.

This year’s Tip A King was sponsored by Barry’s Tickets, Rocco’s Old School Products, The Fanz Choice and Exemplis Corp. whose brands include SitOnIt Seating and IDEON.
Tip-A-King is the single largest fundraiser for the Kings Care Foundation. Each year the entire Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club and their fans join together for this fun-filled celebration, which for more than 20 years has raised more than $2.5 million for local children’s charities. Proceeds will benefit the ongoing support of the LA Kings BloodMobile, which will serve as a blood drive supply truck to increase the much needed collection of life-saving blood for the most seriously ill and injured children at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
The Kings wrap up their four-game homestand tomorrow by hosting Anaheim at STAPLES Center (7:30 p.m.). Wednesday’s game will be broadcast on FS West, KTLK 1150 AM and along the Kings Radio Network.
Kings fans are also encouraged to join Nick Nickson and Daryl Evans at The Mixing Room at the JW Marriott LA Live for Kings Talk after Wednesday’s game.
