Czarnik, 21, played last season with Plymouth Whalers (OHL), recording 77 points (33-44=77) and 46 penalty minutes in 61 games. On Plymouth he ranked: tied for first in points, tied for first in goals, tied for first in assists, tied for second in power-play goals (9), second in short-handed goals (2) and first in game-winning goals (8, tied for sixth in OHL). Czarnik was selected by the Kings in the third round (63rd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Andreoff, 20, played last season with Oshawa and recorded 75 points (33-42=75) and 109 penalty minutes in 66 games. On Oshawa he ranked: second in points, second in goals, second in assists, first in plus-minus (+34, tied for 12th in OHL), first in penalty minutes and first in short-handed goals (4, tied for fifth in OHL). Andreoff was selected by the Kings in the third round (80th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
The Kings next play in New Jersey tomorrow, Thursday, at 4 p.m. (PT) and at Philadelphia on Saturday at 4 p.m. (PT). Both games will air on FS West and on AM 1150.
The Kings return to Los Angeles after the game in Philadelphia. The Kings’ season opener at STAPLES Center is Tuesday, October 18, against St. Louis (7:30 p.m.).
