Offseason Q&A: Scott Mahkorn
Q: What are you working on right now in anticipation of the start of the season?

Currently I am working on getting as many of my clients to Hockey Fest and adding on single game tickets to their accounts so they can bring their friends and family to a game.

Q: What are you looking forward to the most this year?

I am looking forward to watching Dustin Brown and Mike Richards play on the same line. Dustin has been one of my favorite players because of his aggressiveness and hits. I can only imagine how much more exciting it will be to watch him and Mike Richards making those big hits, all the other teams better watch out with those two on the ice at the same time.

Q: What is your all-time favorite Kings moment?

My all-time favorite Kings moment would be watching the Frenzy on Figueroa at my house. I remember when were down and pulled the goalie and my friend said “that never works, they should just keep the goalie in.” and then a few moments later we scored. I was screaming so loud that I woke up my parents and my dad got up and watched the rest of the game with us. If only I was there would it have been a better experience.

Q: What did you do this summer for fun?

This summer I took a lot of day adventures with my wife and kids. My son, Owen, loves going on these adventures and they usually revolve around going to a nice beach that is far away. The favorite adventure we had is when we went to El Matador State Beach, (in the Malibu area), we had fun exploring the sea caves, building sand castles and playing in the water. It is also one of the most beautiful beaches we have been to in the Southern California area and we plan on visiting it again soon.
