Reign Signings Continue

ONTARIO, Calif.– The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, announced that goaltender Beau Erickson and forward Kyle Kraemer have each agreed to re-join the Reign for the 2011-12 season.

Erickson, 25, was 11-12-1-2 with one shutout in 29 games with the Reign last season. His 3.39 goals-against average and .906 save percentage were best among Ontario goaltenders with five or more appearances. Erickson averaged just over 32 saves per 60 minutes in net and was fourteenth in saves among ECHL goalies with 882. The Reign acquired the netminder from the South Carolina Stingrays at the start of the 2010-11 campaign.

Erickson split the 2009-10 season between the ECHL’s Utah Grizzlies, Reading Royals, and Stingrays. In 17 games with Utah, Erickson posted a 5-7-3 record, a goals against average of 3.32 and a save percentage of .899. The goaltender, who hails from Hinton, Iowa, also appeared in one game with the AHL’s Portland Pirates.

Kraemer, 26, notched 37 points (16g, 21a) and 37 penalty minutes in 54 games with the Reign last season as a rookie. He recorded seven points (2g, 5a) during a five-game point streak in the final weeks of the season.

Kraemer played in two ECHL games with the Kalamazoo Wings in the 2009-10 season.  Prior to joining the ECHL, he played four seasons at Northeastern University (NCAA) with 65 points (29g, 36a) in 119 games played. Kraemer led Northeastern in scoring his senior year with 17 goals. The St. Louis, Missouri native spent two seasons with the Wichita Falls Wildcats (NAHL) with 130 points (56g, 74a) in 104 games before he joined the Huskies his freshman year for the 2006-07 season.
