Kings, Lewis Agree on Two-Year Extension

Lewis, 24, registered 13 points (3-10=13) and six penalty minutes in 72 regular season games in 2010-11, his first full season in the NHL. Two of his Lewis’ three goals proved to be game-winners and the 6-1, 195-pound native of Salt Lake City, Utah also finished tied for 10th among rookies with 102 hits. Lewis appeared in all six Kings postseason games this past season, tying for second on the club with three assists while totaling four points (1-3=4) and two penalty minutes in the six contests.
Lewis, who made his NHL debut at Buffalo on December 19, 2008 and scored his first NHL goal at Detroit on December 20, 2008, was originally selected by the Kings in the first-round (17th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
Lewis has collected 16 points (4-12=16) and six penalty minutes in 83 career regular season games – all with the Kings. His six postseason games this past season were the first of his NHL career.
