The 23rd Annual Dave Taylor/Jim Fox Golf Classic will take place Monday June 13 at the Moorpark Country Club in Moorpark (11800 Championship Drive). The tournament is brought to you by the Los Angeles Kings Alumni Association Presented by Toyota, Kings Care Foundation and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Kings legends Dave Taylor and Jim Fox will once again host the tournament, which has raised more than $4 million for cystic fibrosis patient care and research. Proceeds this year will again go toward the fight against cystic fibrosis, a debilitating disease that affects more than 30,000 Americans. The money raised will help buy the science that will lead to a cure for the children and young adults suffering from this disease. Just recently, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation announced the successful results of Phase 3 clinical trials of VX-770, a drug that has demonstrated it can markedly improve lung function, lower sweat chloride levels and help patients gain weight. This research, funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, wouldn’t be possible without events such as the Dave Taylor/Jim Fox Golf Classic.

The following Kings alumni also scheduled to appear and participate at the event: Marcel Dionne, Gary Edwards, Daryl Evans, Mark Hardy, Glen Murray, Ian Turnbull and Rogie Vachon. Kings play-by-play broadcasters Bob Miller and Nick Nickson as well as Fox Sports West’s Patrick O’Neal will also be participating. More participants may be added to this list (check back here for updates).
