BOISE, Idaho – The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, defeated the Idaho Steelheads 4-3 before a crowd of 3,650 at Qwest Arena Wednesday night.
The Reign and Steelheads traded goals in the first period. Chaz Johnson’s wrist shot from the blue line snuck under the crossbar and into the net at 6:10. Idaho tied it at one on a goal by Kael Mouillierat at 9:02.
Aki Seitsonen’s power-play goal at 11:49 of the second period put Idaho up 2-1 before Johnson struck again for Ontario. With the period winding down and the teams playing 4-on-4, Alex Bourret picked up a loose puck at neutral ice and sped into the Idaho zone.
