LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Kings have assigned goaltender Erik Ersberg and forward Rich Clune to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced Tuesday.

The Kings have also signed center Jordan Nolan to a three-year NHL Entry Level contract. Nolan, 21, was selected by the Kings in the seventh-round (186th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He played in two preseason games with the Kings this season and was assigned to Manchester on September 24. Last season he played with Ontario (ECHL) and Sault. Ste. Marie (OHL).

In addition, the following Kings players have changed jersey numbers: Jake Muzzin – 6

Ersberg, 28, was 4-3-2 with a 2.40 goals-against average and .906 save percentage in 11 appearances with the Kings last season. In 53 career NHL games (all with the Kings) he is 18-19-10 with a 2.55 goals-against average, .910 save percentage and two shutouts. Ersberg was the first Swedish goaltender in Kings history.

Clune, 23, split time last season with both the Kings and Monarchs. In 14 regular season games with the Kings he had two points (both assists) and 26 penalty minutes. He played in four postseason games with the Kings as well, posting zero points and five penalty minutes.
