Kings Go Back to Black for Playoffs
Kings Jersey History
“The Stanley Cup Playoffs are a tremendous opportunity and the ideal setting for our fans to show everyone what the L.A. Kings already believe – our fans represent the most loyal and enthusiastic fan base in Southern California,” said Kings President, Business Operations Luc Robitaille.
“Kings fans are looking forward to the playoffs as much as anyone and we anticipate an incredible atmosphere at STAPLES Center before and during our games. We have brought back our popular ‘Back in Black’ tradition as we feel it resonates strongly with our fans, and for our new fans we cannot wait until they get to experience, first-hand, what the Stanley Cup Playoffs are all about.”
For all Kings playoff games at STAPLES Center, the Kings players have selected to wear their Alternate Jerseys. The jerseys made their debuts last year, and to hear Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar talk about the jersey before it was unveiled, click here.
Alternate jerseys are also on-sale at the STAPLES Center Team LA Store for $79.99. The Kings will also launch a special playoff merchandise line which is highlighted by commemorative playoff t-shirts, hats and various collectables. To view additional Kings products, go to click here.
The Kings are also asking their fans to “grow one for the team” as they will be hosting a special Beard-A-Thon during the playoffs with proceeds benefitting the Kings Care Foundation. More details on this special initiative can be found next month by visiting LAKings.com/playoffs.
In addition, the Kings are also adding the word “Playoffs” to their Pride=Passion=Power team slogan. To view the new-look official Pride=Passion=Power=Playoffs wordmark logo, click here.
