Tip-A-King 2009
With Tip A King slated for his Sunday, LAKings.com thought we would get everything you could ever need to know in one handy, dandy document.

Do I need skates to participate in any of the activities?
No. No skates are required!

What if I only want an autograph and no photograph? Do I still need to pay the full tip fee?
Yes. We will not have the ability to provide change.

What if I want two autographs? How much will that cost? Do I need to go back in line?

    *A $5 tip PER PLAYER includes ONE of the following combinations:
  • Photo + Autograph
  • Two photos
  • Two autographs
    *A $10 tip PER PLAYER includes the experience (i.e. shot on goal, locker room, game, etc.) and ONE of the following combinations:
  • Photo + Autograph
  • Two photos
  • Two autographs
  • If a guest does not want to take part in the experience, the “tip” is still $10

*Guests will need to get back in line after one of these combinations.

What if I don’t use all of my Tip a King Dollars?
Unfortunately, Tip a King Dollars are non-refundable, however Team LA will be accepting all non-used Tip a King Dollars through Feb. 2. (Valid at the STAPLES Team LA Store only)

What if I run out of Tip A King Dollars?
Tip A King Dollars will be available for purchase at registration, the event floor, at the top of section 110. The Kings Ice Crew will also be selling dollars throughout the event.

How many dollars will I need to do all activities?
To get an autograph and photograph with the current list of players and activities, you will need 215 Tip a King Dollars

What kind of equipment can I bring in to get signed?
Jerseys, photos, hockey sticks and pucks are all allowed. Skate blades and other sharp items will not be permitted in the building.

Will cash be accepted at the player booths?
Cash will not be accepted at any booth.

Can I use my Tip A King Dollars to purchase Mystery Envelope, Golden Pucks, Silent Auction items, etc?
No, Tip A King Dollars are used for player tips only.

Can I take a picture with numerous Kings players at once?
No, Kings players and alumni will only take individual pictures. Coaching staff, broadcasters and the Ice Crew will be available for group photos.

Will there be a Live Auction?
There will be a Live Auction for VIP guests. The Live Auction will take place at approximately 12:55 p.m.

Will there be a Silent Auction?
Yes, there will be a Silent Auction located in the middle of the event floor. Bidding will be open until 3:15 p.m.. Check out will begin at 4 p.m.

Do you guarantee that all fans get everyone’s autograph?
No, the Kings Care Foundation does not guarantee all autographs. We feel we have positioned the event to increase those chances, but do not guarantee.

Can I return my ticket or item purchased at the event?
All Sales are final.

I have a VIP Ticket.
When can I enter STAPLES Center?
VIP ticket holders will be allowed to enter STAPLES Center at 10:45 a.m.. The players will be at their stations promptly at 11 a.m.

Where do I eat?
VIP ticket holders will have access to a delicious buffet and open bar in the San Manuel Club. Lunch will be served from 12:00-2:30 and dessert will be served from 2:30-4:30. The bar will be open for the duration of the event.

What do I do with my Front of the Line Pass?
You can use your Front of the Line Pass to skip waiting in line for the player or activity of your choice. Each pass is good for one time use only!

I have a General Admission Ticket.
When can I enter STAPLES Center?
GA ticket holders will be allowed to enter the building at approximately 1:15 p.m. The players will be at their stations promptly at 1:30 p.m.

Where do I eat?
General Admission guests will receive a food voucher in exchange for their ticket when they enter the building. Guests will have a choice of gourmet sandwiches. All sandwiches will come with pasta salad, chips, a granola bar and a freshly baked cookie. Guests will also receive a drink ticket good for a bottled water or soft drink.
There will be a No Host Bar available to General Admission guests.
