Ontario Falls to Wranglers, 2-1
After a scoreless first period, the Las Vegas Wranglers scored two unanswered power play goals to get on the board and take the lead over Ontario. The first crossed the goal line at 8:07 when right wing Ned Lukacevic fired off a shot from the left side of the net that slid between Ontario goaltender Curtis Darling’s pads and into the net. Less than two minutes later, defenseman Jason Krischuk’s slap shot from just inside the blue line was redirected by center Chris Neiszner up and over Darling’s glove. Ned Lukacevic also claimed an assist and his second point of the night on the play.
Center Robert Pearce answered back and put Ontario on the board with his goal at 13:17. Left wing Chris Curran and forward Michael Pelech registered the assists.
Neither team scored again for the remainder of regulation, despite Ontario pulling Darling for the extra attacker. Las Vegas took the win with a final score of Wranglers 2, Reign 1.
