Nickson\'s All-Decade Team
In his 29th season with the Kings, Nick Nickson, the radio “Voice-of-the-Kings,” calls the action of every pre-season, regular season and post-season playoff game on KTLK AM 1150 and along the Kings Radio Network.

A veteran with 34 years of hockey broadcasting experience totaling more than 2,900 games (including more than 2,400 with the Kings), Nickson’s smooth, fast-paced and accurate delivery of every play allows the listener to “see the game” as the action unfolds. As a tribute to his broadcasting excellence last January he was inducted into the Southern California Sportscasters Hall of Fame.

Obviously, Nickson has seen every Kings game in the 2000s and knows his hockey. So we had him put together his all decade team too...take a look.
RW
Ziggy Palffy
Member of the Kings: 1999 to 2004
Kings debut season: 1999 to 2000

Arguably the most exciting forward the Kings have had since Wayne Gretzky.  He averaged over a point a game as a King and was effective in the post season as well.

C
Anze Kopitar
Member of the Kings: 2006 to present
Kings debut season: 2006-07

With his skill level and his size he has given the Kings a dominating presence at the position which hasn't been seen for the franchise in years.

LW
Dustin Brown
Member of the Kings: 2003 to present
Kings debut season: 2003-04

A player that can beat you with skill or his physical play.  His leadership qualities only add to his overall value.

D
Lubomir Visnovsky
Member of the Kings: 2000 to 2008
Kings debut season: 2000-01

A bulldog of a player that could play in all situations and give you a lot of offense from the blueline.

D
Drew Doughty
Member of the Kings: 2008 to present
Kings debut season: 2008-09
His impact on the game and the teams's success has been huge despite his lack of experience.  A cornerstone defenseman that has the ability to control a game.
G
Felix Potvin
Member of the Kings: 2001 to 2003
Kings debut season: 2000-01

Gave the position stability and consistency while absorbing a lot of games.  Was a reliable performer in the post season as well.
