Smyth Leaves Game with Upper Body Injury

"I don’t have an update, per se," head coach Terrry Murray said following the victory. "He’s out with an upper-body injury. We’re going to leave now and get back to L.A. and have a doctor look at it, and we’ll see where it’s at."
Smyth ranks second on the Kings in points, goals and assists with 9-14=23 in 22 games in his first season in Los Angeles.
The veteran forward was acquired from Colorado in exchange for Kyle Quincey, Tom Preissing and a fifth-round pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft on July 3.
Smyth and line mates Justin Williams and NHL-leading scorer Anze Kopitar and have combined to score 23-36=59 in 16 games together entering Monday's game.
The Kings are already playing without defenseman Rob Scuderi, who missed Monday’s game with a lower body injury and blue liner Alec Martinez, out with an ankle sprain since Oct. 6.
The Kings have missed 31 man games due to injury.

Smyth was scoreless on two shots in 13:10 vs. the Panthers on Monday night.
