LAKings.com\'s Plays of the Week

LAKings.com has selected our favorite plays of the week.

The Kings played just two games, a 2-1 SO loss at San Jose and then a 2-1 SO loss vs. Vancouver the next night...ironic.

Regardless of the two SO losses, the Kings have had a six-game point streak winning four games and losing two in the SO.

FROLOV ON FIRE
Kings forward Alexander Frolov continued his recent tear, scoring his third goal in two games and tallying a point in his fourth straight game with a wrap-around shot that beat San Jose goaltender Even Nabokov for an early 1-0 lead.

DOUGHTY GOES OLD-SCHOOL
As Kings color commentator Jim Fox notes, defenseman Drew Doughty gives an "old-fashioned, Rob Blake hip check" to San Jose's Kent Huskins in the third period of a 2-1 loss in shootouts for the Kings.

A QUICK RESCUE
Late in tied game, Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick makes a huge save on a wrap-around shot by San Jose center Scott Nichol.

WELCOME TO THE NHL SCOTT PARSE
Kings forward Scott Parse scores the first goal of his NHL career, burying a shot past Vancouver goaltender Andrew Raycroft for an early 1-0 Kings lead.

GLASS MEETS THE GLASS
Kings defenseman Matt Greene introduces Vancouver forward Tanner Glass to the glass surrounding the rink with a huge hit.
