SKILLS COMPETITION RESULTS: CULVER CITY

The 2007 Skills Competition kicked off on Friday, Jan. 5 as participants from the LA area flexed their muscles against their peers in three competitions (fastest skater, hardest shot, and accuracy shooting) with the hopes of advancing to the semi-finals that will take place at STAPLES Center on March 17, 2007.
Kings Alumni and current TV and Radio personalities Jim Fox and Daryl Evans were in attendance to kick off the first of nine skills competitions at local rinks in a competition which will ultimately award a Grand Prize of a personalized Kings Jersey, two tickets in a suite for a Kings game and a chalk talk with a Kings' Coach, a $50 Gift Certificate to Team LA and a free 2007 Kings Camp Registration for the Youth Divisions.
Culver Ice Arena winners:
10 & Under: Frank Horowitz and Deon Leer
12 & Under: Travis Martin and Wyatt Rees
14 & Under: Ciaran Driscoll and Will Oliver
16 & Under: Bobby Safoyan
18 & Over: Todd Ballaban and Scott Sheahen
The next stop is Easy Street Ice Arena in Simi Valley on Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
